Kirsten Vangsness has been an American actor since the early 1990s. Her most notable role was that of Penelope Garcia, a police procedural character in the show Criminal Minds. Kirsten Vangsness also is the star of the spin-offs 'Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders and Suspect behavior. She's appeared in many other television shows. Although she's primarily known as a TV actor Vangsness has also had some small roles in movies. Her debut was in showbiz in the year 1998. She has had notable roles in films such as "In My Sleep, 'The Chicago 8", and 'Kill Me, Deadly.' Her writings have appeared in the Los Angeles Times. She's also a playwright and has written three episodes for Criminal Minds. She has rescued and rehabilitated numerous neglected and injured cats.
