Rosie Huntington

RosieQueen Latifah was conceived Dana Elaine Owens in Newark, New Jersey, on March 18, 1970. Latifah was the second daughter born to Lance and Rita Owens. She is most famous for her social involvement, acting skills, and ability to rhyme. At the age of eight her cousin from Islam gave her the name Latifah which means "delicate" and "sensitive" in Arabic. Latifah began singing in the choir of the church of Shiloh located in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Her first performance was when she sang "Home" as the character of Dorothy in a play of The Wizard of Oz at St. Anne's Parochial School. Latifah's mother was the catalyst. She was extremely attuned to students and the music. Mark James, a local disc jockey well-known as D.J., was invited to the party. Mark the 45 King to invite her to appear at an event at the school.
